If your shirt cracks after two washes, it wasn’t a deal—it was a disappointment.
True story from my closet:
A few years back, I happily supported a fundraiser for a gal who was inspiring and worthy of support —a fight coach who needed to raise money fast. She was selling shirts with a cute couple of yellow boxing gloves on black fabric, and I was excited to say – take my money!
When the shirt arrived, I noticed a weird chemical smell. Not wanting to put whatever that smell was on my skin I turned it inside out -of course- and tossed it in the wash… and when I pulled it out to hang dry —half the print vanished! On the very first wash!
Dang, it became an expensive rag.
Now every time I see her posts it reminds me of this moment and think— and that I always wished I had just sent her the money directly instead of her paying for a poorly pressed shirt and its postage.
Lesson? When you’re selling shirts to represent your name, your brand, your team, or your cause—quality matters.
A bad print job reflects on you, even when it’s someone else’s fault.
